Ms. Carlson has performed with most of the world's eminent conductors, such as Daniel Barenboim, Antal Dorati, Charles Dutoit, Carlo Maria Giulini, Rafael Kubelik, Kurt Masur, Leonard Slatkin, Sir Georg Solti, Yuri Temirkanov and David Zinman. Her internationally acclaimed performances with Leonard Bernstein featured the the composer conducting his own composition, Kaddish Symphony, with the orchestra of L'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and the National Symphony at Kennedy Center and Avery Fisher Hall. Claudine Carlson sang Berlioz' Romeo et Juliette with Maestro Valery Gergiev and the Los Angeles Philharmonic and with Leonard Slatkin and the National Symphony Orchestra. Also under Maestro Slatkin, she presented Beethoven's Choral Fantasy with the St. Louis Symphony. With Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony, she sang Debussy's Le Martyre de Saint Sebastian. She performed Beethoven's Symphony No.9 with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra under Zdenek Macal, with whom she later collaborated in Verdi's Requiem, this time with the Milwaukee Symphony. Dvorak's Stabat Mater brought her to Carnegie Hall with Macal conducting the New Jersey Symphony. With Charles Dutoit she appeared in Debussy's La Damoiselle elue with the Philadelphia Orchestra and in Mahler's Symphony No.2. with Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal. Her recent performance of Les Troyens with the Montreal Symphony was recorded for London/Decca.

Ms. Carlson has made numerous other recordings, among them Pelleas et Melisande, and L'enfant et les sortileges with the Montreal Symphony under Dutoit for London/Decca, Marseillaise by Berlioz with the Denver Symphony under Entremont for Pro Arte and an RCA release of Carlos Chavez' Nocturne. She also recorded Brahms' Songs for Alto, Viola and Piano, two William Grant Still works, Alexander Nevsky and Ivan the Terrible, the opera Le Fou by Landowsky, and a French recital disc entitled Reflections de France. Engagements in 2003 include the Verdi Requiem with the Buffalo Philharmonic and Berlioz' Damnation of Faust with the Spokane Symphony.
